Lamppost Coffee Roasters takes a family to build and run. Yes, we really are a family business! It has taken the whole family to launch Lamppost and see my (Val's) dream and real life adventure become a reality. We do have lots of community and friend support, but I am very grateful for my family working alongside of me (sometimes for and, at times, in spite of me) to create Lamppost Coffee Roasters.
We are a growing family owned and operated small batch artisan coffee roastery in Bonney Lake, Washington, providing quality, fresh roasted and finely crafted coffee to our local community. In 2013, we remodeled our garage to become a certified Food Processing Plant through Washington State Department of Agriculture.
We are constantly growing and learning more about coffee as an art, a science and a community, both locally and globally. We enjoy providing opportunities for worlds to meet over amazing fresh roasted and finely crafted coffees from around the world. We enjoy helping others discover and brew amazing coffees!

Intersecting Stories
The Origin
As a specialty coffee roaster, we purchase our coffee from producers and importers that score greater than 80/100 points when cupped and scored by certified coffee graders known as Q Graders.
Our goal is to purchase specialty coffee as close to the grower & producer as possible without actually importing ourselves. This has led to some great relationships with growers who also import or smaller importers who bring coffee to the US on behalf of small holding producers. Relationship and trust are the keys here.
We are building and growing relationships that create trust between Lamppost Coffee Roasters and importers. We trust them to offer and sell us quality specialty coffee. They trust us to pay for our green coffee in a timely manner, keep our word when we put our name on future coffee and roast with great care to produce quality roasted coffee for our customers. This represents the entire coffee process from seed to cup well.
